In memory of the brave soldiers who have fought fiercely in the Netherlands and unfortunately died during the second world war, particularly in the regions Meijel, Ospel and Overloon.
Several weeks ago this gentleman contacted me to ask permission to use a photo that I had posted on findagrave.com (for those of you that don’t know anything about findagrave.com – it is an organization of volunteers who will find and photograph headstones and place those pictures on the site. It is a wonderful resource for genealogists. Yes, I know it is a weird way to spend your free time, but it keeps me out of trouble!) Anyway, he explained to me that he was creating a website memorial for the troops who fought and died with the 7th Armored Division in the Netherlands during WWII and he hoped to have it up by Memorial Day.
I received this link this morning and thought you might find it of interest.
What a labor of love! Wish folks in this country would appreciate the sacrifice of our soldiers in all the wars we have fought as much as this man.
God Bless Our Troops!
